Our natural coral reefs are in a state of decline. This is due to many different causes but one in particular is the over harvesting of corals for the marine hobby. That is one of the reasons I started into this venture, and there are many more, but I won't bore you with the details. I would recommend to buy aquacultured corals whenever possible, as it helps sustain the natural reef environments and keeps our oceans healthy. I'm trying to do my part by making it convenient and affordable for you to purchase corals that are not being taken from our already troubled reefs. A large part of the corals we offer are at least one generation aquacultured and some are several generations. This keeps the natural reef harvests down, and in turn helps our delicate ocean ecosystems. It’s a known fact that captive (aquacultured corals) generally have a much higher rate of survival in an aquarium setting. Now why wouldn't that be a plus? It is in my book!
